Compare Items on a Slide

When you compare items on a slide, you place two items on the same slide.   Any items you can place on a slide, you can also compare.  For example, you can compare two Works of Art, or a Work of Art with a Video, or a Video with an Audio.

If you decided later that you do not want the two items on the same slide, you can break the comparison so that they appear on separate slides again.

In order to compare items on a slide, you need to create an Art Collector Set that contains the two items you want to compare.  See Create an Art Collector Set and Add a Slide to an Art Collector Set.

To compare items on a Slide:

  1. If the sides you want to compare belong to an Art Collector Set, and not a Temporary Set (see The Difference Between Art Collector Sets and Temporary Sets), log into ArtsConnected:
    • Click the SIGN IN button in the top left-hand corner of the Web page.
    • Enter the Username and Password you created when you registered.
    • Click the SIGN IN button again.
  2. Click the ART COLLECTOR button at the top of the screen.  ArtsConnected shows your Art Collector Sets.
  3. Click the title or image of the Set containing the two slides/items that you want to compare.  ArtsConnectEd shows the Set’s details page.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Set’s details page.  The slides in the Set are shown (see Figure 1).
  5. When you compare two slides, the title and description of the first slide becomes the title and description for the compared slides.  Click the Compare icon on the first slide.  The Compare icon is at the bottom of the slide, the compare icon looks like this: graphic depicting Compare icon.
  6. A slot for the second item in the comparison opens (see Figure 3).  Drag the item you want to compare with the first item into this slot (see Figure 4).
Note: You cannot compare more than two items on a single slide.
  7. To break the comparison you just created, click the Break Comparison icon in the bottom right corner of the slide.  This places the items back on two separate slides.  The Break Comparison icon looks like this graphic depicting break comparison icon.
